On Sunday, Police got a call about a stabbing from Hollywood Avenue.

When Police showed up to the scene, they found the victim, who told officers that her 19 year-old daughter had stabbed her. She went on to say that the daughter had taken a 1 year-old that the victim is the legal guardian over.

The victim went on to say that the stabbing happened while she was driving down Hollywood Avenue near Hearne Avenue. The daughter, identified as Trista Schroeder, allegedly took a pocket knife and stabbed the victim in her right arm several times as well as hitting her in the face multiple times. All of this happened while the 1 year-old child was also in the car.

SPD was eventually able to track-down Schroeder and arrest her. Police found a pocket knife on Schroeder that they believed to have been used in the stabbing. The 1 year-old was found to be safe, and was returned to their legal guardian.

Schroeder was taken to the Shreveport City Jail and booked on these charges:

· Domestic Abuse Battery with a Dangerous Weapon (La. R.S. 14:35.3(O))

· Simple Kidnapping (La. R.S. 14:45)

· Domestic Abuse Battery with Child Endangerment

The investigation remains ongoing.
