Join The Summer Fun at Shreveport Skate Day in The Park
It’s time to have a little summer fun in downtown Shreveport.
The Shreveport Regional Arts Council (SRAC) is teaming up with Caddo Common Park to host Shreveport Skate Day on Saturday, July 19. It’s happening from 6-9pm at the park. It's a chance to get outside and enjoy an evening in the park with good food, entertainment and rolling around for the summer.
You are encouraged to “grab your skates, tighten those laces, and glide into the coolest event of the summer! Whether you’re rolling deep or just vibing on the lawn, there’s something for everyone.”
This event is open to skateboarders, bikes, skates and anything that rolls. All will be welcome.
It’s a free event and will include a live performance by the band Signs of Stress.
If you don’t skate or have anything with wheels, don’t worry. You are still welcome to come out and enjoy this unique event. Bring your tents and chairs and chill on the lawn with your friends and family.
There will be several food trucks at this event serving everything from Mexican food to tasty treats.
SRAC wants this to be a family friendly event and will be providing security to make sure everyone is safe.
The Caddo Common Park is a special place in Shreveport. It has been transformed into an active urban greenspace with tree-lined walking trails, an iconic outdoor Performance Pavilion, a Food Truck Court with 20’ tall solar and LED lit Artistrees and so much more. If you have not checked it out yet, this would be a great time to do so.
