
Shreveport Police Arrest Man for Shooting His Girlfriend
Shreveport Police Department's Domestic Violence Detectives, along with the Violent Crimes Unit have mad an arrest in a domestic shooting.
Early yesterday morning, SPD got a call about a shooting on Greenwood Road. When they showed up, they found a 20 year-old woman with a gunshot wound to the abdomen. The woman was rushed to the hospital where she told SPD that her boyfriend, 22 year-old Antoine Cornelius, is the one who shot her.
Police immediately got to work, and were able to quickly investigate to identify and start the search for Cornelius. After a short search Cornelius was found and arrested. He has been charged with one count of Battery of a Dating Partner Inflicting Serious Bodily Injury with a Dangerous Weapon.
