Shreveport Man Arrested for Shooting Over Family Dispute

Last week, Shreveport Police got a call about a shooting near Regal Street and East Kings Highway.

SPD showed up to the scene, and began interviewing witnesses and victims. After an investigation, Police found out that the shooting was over a family dispute that had been taking place for several weeks.

After gathering statements and reviewing evidence, Detectives with the Shreveport Police Department's Violent Crime Unit were able to obtain an arrest warrant for Garrett Randle for one count of Illegal Use of a Weapon from a Motor Vehicle.

After a week-long search for Randle, Shreveport Police were able to finally locate him and arrest him. Randle was booked in to the Shreveport City Jail without incident.

The Shreveport Police Department is remaining dedicated to keep violent crime down in the city.
