Shreveport Felon Arrested for Shooting and Injuring Man
Shreveport Police have arrested 20-year-old Malachi Bailey on multiple charges following an investigation into a shooting that occurred in the early morning hours of July 10. Officers were called to a local hospital where a male was being treated for a gunshot wound that occurred outside of Shreveport.
During the investigation, Bailey was found to be in possession of a firearm and narcotics. Further investigation revealed that Bailey is a convicted felon, prohibiting him from possessing a firearm. Bailey has been charged with one count of being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm, one count of illegal carrying of a weapon, and one count of possession of a scheduled narcotic with intent to distribute.
The victim suffering from the gunshot wound is expected to recover.
