Shreveport Sex Offender Arrested for Failure to Register
Shreveport Police Sex Crimes Detectives have arrested a Shreveport man on one count of Failure to Register as a Sex Offender.
Ellis Kitchen was convicted of Attempted Forcible Rape and is required by law to register as a sex offender for life. Detectives were able to get an arrest warrant, and he was arrested yesterday by SPD's Sex Crimes Unit.
SPD Investigators also found out that Kitchen has two prior convictions for failing to register as a sex offender.
From SPD:
"Failure to register is not a technicality—it is a serious violation designed to help protect victims and keep our community informed and safe.
We thank our Sex Crimes Detectives for their continued dedication to holding offenders accountable and protecting our community."
