Shreveport Police Searching for Sex Offender for Not Registering

Shreveport Police are currently on the lookout for a sex offender who failed to register.

Lavario Lane is considered a Tier 1 sex offender who has been in trouble for violating his requirements several times. Lane was arrested in 2024 after claims that he had broken in to a house and battered a pregnant woman and her small child. Lane was arrested for that crime, and Police found out that he had not registered as a sex offender.

Lane got his Tier 1 status for Indecent behavior with juveniles. If you spot Lane or know of his whereabouts, the public is urged to not approach him due to past violent behavior. SPD urges anyone with information on Lane to contact them immediately.

Anyone with information on Lavario Lane’s whereabouts is urged to contact Shreveport Police at 318-673-7300 or Caddo Crime Stoppers at 318-673-7373. Callers may remain anonymous."
