Shreveport Police Department were dispatched to Lakeshore Drive in reference to an armed robbery earlier this year.

SPD made contact with the victim, a deaf adult male when they got to the scene. Due to the victim’s impairment, communication with the victim was through written notes. The victim told SPD that he had been talking to a woman through Facebook, who told him to pick her up. He then drove her to the Lakeshore Inn Motel, where he paid for a room.

Upon entering the room, an unknown male suspect came in, assaulted the victim, pointed a firearm at him, and forcibly took several items of personal property. The victim further advised that the female, identified as “Rose,” took his Regions Bank card.

Following the robbery, both the man and woman fled the scene in a GMC vehicle, which was later seen on surveillance footage.

A Detective with the Violent Crimes Unit was notified and started a follow-up investigation. Officers located the GMC vehicle at a residence; but, the suspect was not at the home at that time.

As a result of the investigation, an arrest warrant was issued for Javohnta Giounes on the charge of Armed Robbery.

From SPD:
