
Shreveport Police Retail Theft Sting Nets Several Arrests
Late last month, Shreveport Police's Property Crimes Detectives along with the help of Loss Prevention Supervisors decided that they've had enough of the retail theft in Shreveport.
SPD launched the "March 2025 Blitz", a sting operation aimed at catching these thieves in the act. Shreveport Police were able to arrest 8 people over 2 days for theft related crimes.
March 26, 2025
Lowe’s
· One arrest – Kevin Joseph Johnson
· Charges:
o Habitual Theft (Felony)
o Probation & Parole Violation Warrant (Felony)
o Resisting an Officer
o Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
o Misdemeanor Theft Warrant (CMO)
Johnson attempted to steal a few things including a pack of 2-way radios. When Johnson was detained and he tried giving SPD a fake identity and had a glass pipe. He had a warrant out for a probation violation and several theft priors.
Target
· Two arrests – Shaerial Anderson and Ray’shonda Anderson
· Charges:
o Shaerial Anderson: Felony Theft
o Ray’shonda Anderson: Misdemeanor Theft
The two tried hiding clothes in a baby stroller adding up to over $570. Video showed that Shaerial Anderson had stolen from the store before, so SPD tacked-on the over $700 total of her last thefts making this theft a felony.
Bath & Body Works
· Three arrests – Frances Martin, Treniesha Thomas, and Chadwick Woulard
· Charges:
o Frances Martin: Habitual Theft (Felony) – Seven prior convictions, Felony Theft Warrant (Caddo)
o Treniesha Thomas: Misdemeanor Theft
o Chadwick Woulard: Misdemeanor Theft
Candles and other things were stolen by the trio. All-in-all, the group stole just over $900 dollars worth of stuff. Martin had seven prior theft convictions and had an active felony warrant in Caddo Parish.
TJ Maxx
· One arrest – Michael Griffin
· Charges:
o Habitual Theft (Felony) – 19 prior convictions
Griffin tried stealing a bunch of underwear by stuffing it in a duffel bag and tried leaving without paying. Griffin had 19 prior theft convictions and was charged with a felony.

TJ Maxx
· One arrest – Anthony McCray
· Charges:
o Habitual Theft (Felony) – Seven prior convictions
o Felony Theft Warrant (Caddo)
McCray tried hiding four sets of earbuds at around 40 bucks a piece and left the store. He had seven prior theft convictions and an active felony warrant.

The Shreveport Police Department remains committed to combating organized retail crime and ensuring the safety and security of businesses in our community. Additional operations are scheduled throughout the year to deter and prosecute theft-related offenses."
