Shreveport Police Seeking Woman Who Nearly Ran Over Officer (VIDEO)

Shreveport Police are searching for a woman after a reckless confrontation with officers on Shreveport-Barksdale Highway.

SPD responded to a theft at Walmart, and it turned into a dangerous assault.

As officers attempted to detain Alicia Lewis, also known as Alicia Fleming, in the parking lot. She refused to comply with commands to exit her car. Instead of surrendering, she slammed a car door on an officer’s head, then put the vehicle in reverse, trapping the Officer in the doorway nearly knocking him to the ground.

She then threw the car into drive and fled the scene, as you can see in the video below.

SPD says this was a deliberate, and could have ended in serious injury or death. Situations like this are exactly how deadly force encounters begin. She put an Officer’s life in immediate danger.

Detectives have secured arrest warrants for multiple charges, including battery on a police officer and resisting an officer with force or violence. Additional charges are expected.

SPD is urging the public to come forward with any information that could bring this woman to justice.

She is believed to be in Bossier City. Anyone who knows her whereabouts is urged to contact the Shreveport Police Department or Caddo Crime Stoppers immediately.

The officer was not seriously injured—but this could have ended very differently."
