Shreveport Man Arrested for Violations of a Protective Order

The Shreveport Police Department has arrested a man following a violation of a protective order after a domestic incident.

SPD Patrol Officers were called to Alkay Drive to reports of a domestic disturbance. When Police got to the scene, they made contact with Chester Brown and a female victim.

Both Brown and the woman both initially told Officers that the disturbance was only verbal and no physical contact was made between the two. The victim reported that Brown was dropping off their child when an argument broke out.

While SPD was investigating, they found out that a permanent protective order in place prohibiting Brown from contacting the victim at any capacity. Brown admitted to Police that he was aware of the protective order and admitted to knowing that the victim was home at the time of the incident.

Police records show that Brown had previously pleaded guilty to Domestic Abuse Aggravated Assault back in 2021, and the protective order went in to effect at that time.

As a result of the discovery, a warrant for one count of Violation of a Protective Order was issued for Brown. Brown turned himself in to the Caddo Correctional Center.
