Shreveport Police Search for Armed Roberry Suspects

Shreveport police detectives are trying to identify and catch two men responsible for robbing a west Shreveport business at gunpoint.

Just before 9:45 last night, patrol officers were called to a reported armed robbery at the Family Dollar in the 2700 block of Lakeshore Drive. They learned two males wearing dark-colored clothing and masks over their faces allegedly robbed the store with handguns and took an undisclosed amount of money.

The suspects fled on foot in an unknown direction. No employees were injured during the incident.

Detectives with the Shreveport Police Department's Tactical Robbery Unit, along with crime scene personnel, arrived and launched their investigation. They're working to recover surveillance footage from the business.
