Shreveport Police Officer Arrested for Sex Crimes

A Corporal with the Shreveport Police Department has been arrested following reports of sexual assault.

SPD Officers started an investigation involving Corporal Arthur Green after reports of a sexual assault to a juvenile family member. They were able to arrest Green yesterday after gathering enough evidence. Green was taken in to custody without a fight.

Green started his employment with the City of Shreveport back in 2004 as a jailer and became a Police Officer in 2009. This disturbing incident is said to have happened while Green was off-duty. Green was placed on leave pending the outcome of the investigation.

Chief Wayne Smith had this to say:

“I am deeply disturbed by the nature of this incident. We will continue to fully investigate this matter and remain committed to holding all individuals accountable, regardless of their position.”

This investigation is ongoing. No further details will be released at this time to protect the integrity of the case and the privacy of the victim.
