Chief Wayne Smith and his command staff proudly welcomed 14 future Shreveport Police Officers as they began their journey through the Shreveport Police Regional Training Academy. The cadets, joined by five deputies from the DeSoto Parish Sheriff’s Office, will undergo four months of intensive training to prepare for the demands and rewards of a career in law enforcement.
