Shreveport Police Find Multiple Assault Rifles During Drug Bust
The Shreveport Police Department have announced the seizure of multiple firearms during a recent drug bust. The seizure consisted of half a dozen guns, as well as more than 3,000 pills.
The Shreveport Police Department says that on May 6th, 2022, the Shreveport Police Street Level Interdiction Unit made a seizure consisting of 170ml of Codeine, 18 Hydrocodone, 3,235 dosages of Xanax, 99 grams of marijuana, 4 pistols, and 2 assault rifles. The bust took place in the 1600 block of Dilg League Drive, less than a mile from Judson Elementary School. SPD provided the above photo of the weapons discovered and seized.
During the bust, 22-year-old Dasani Dawson and 20-year-old Cora Burton-Emory were arrested. The pair both face a long list of charges, both being charged with Possession of Schedule One with Intent to Distribute, Possession of Schedule Two with Intent to Distribute, Possession of Schedule Four with Intent to Distribute, Possession of a Firearm in the Presence of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, and Obstruction of Justice.
