SHREVEPORT, LA-   Arrest Made in Linwood Avenue Homicide

On the morning of June 7th, the Shreveport Police Special Response Team, with assistance from the Bossier City Police Department SRT, arrested Deonza McClinton, the second suspect in the June 4th murder on Linwood Avenue. McClinton, aged 30, was identified by detectives from the SPD Violent Crimes unit as the second gunman involved in the incident. He was taken into custody without incident. Chief Wayne Smith expressed gratitude to all those involved in apprehending these violent individuals.

Shreveport police have made an arrest in connection with the recent homicide on Linwood Avenue. Malcolm Morris, 33, has been arrested on one count of second-degree murder related to a shooting that occurred in the 4300 block of Linwood Avenue.

On June 4 at approximately 4:30 p.m., officers responded to a call regarding a shooting at the mentioned location. Upon arrival, they found a male victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Shreveport Fire Department.

Morris was arrested in the early morning hours of June 5th with the assistance of the Shreveport Police Special Response Team, US Marshals task force, Bossier City Police Special Response Team, And Shreveport Police K9 Unit. Chief Wayne Smith would also like to thank the hard work of the SPD Violent Crimes Unit.
