Shreveport Police Arrest Two Convicted Felons with Firearms
SHREVEPORT, LA- Two Convicted Felons Arrested with Firearms
On the evening of August 8, SPD officers encountered a suspicious individual in the 200 block of East Washington Street. During the investigation, officers arrested 31-year-old Charles Marston, who was found to be in possession of a firearm despite being prohibited from doing so as a convicted felon.
Later, just before midnight, patrol officers conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Hearne Avenue and Ashton Street. During the stop, officers arrested 25-year-old Thomas Randolph, another convicted felon, who was also found in possession of a firearm. Randolph was additionally charged with driving a vehicle with expired license plates.
Chief Smith commended the officers for their continued diligence and dedication to removing firearms from the hands of those prohibited from possessing them. Actions like these have the greatest impact on reducing violent crime in our city.
