While the initial battery claims against Meacham could not be substantiated, officers discovered during their investigation that he was in possession of a firearm, a violation given his prior felony convictions which prohibited him from owning or possessing firearms.

In accordance with the law, Shreveport Police patrol officers promptly arrested Bradley Meacham for the offense of being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm.

This incident underscores the Shreveport Police Department's commitment to enforcing laws designed to keep firearms out of the hands of individuals prohibited from possessing them. We appreciate the vigilance of citizens in reporting concerns for the welfare and safety of our community members.
