Shreveport Police Arrest Another Felon Carrying a Firearm
SHREVEPORT, LA- Arrest made following altercation at local bar
On April 18, 2024, at approximately 11:45 p.m., Shreveport Police officers responded to an altercation at 1910 Market Street, following reports of a disturbance at a local bar. Responding officers promptly took action, resulting in the arrest of 35-year-old Kyle Shelton.
Shelton has been apprehended on charges of illegally possessing a firearm within a bar/nightclub premises, as well as facing two counts of simple battery and one count of being a felon in possession of a firearm. The arrest was made in accordance with the efficient response of law enforcement to ensure public safety.
Fortunately, no significant injuries were reported as a result of the altercation. The diligent efforts of law enforcement officers effectively de-escalated the situation, minimizing potential harm to patrons and bystanders.
Suspects are innocent until proven guilty.
