Shreveport Pet Store Trying to Identify Suspected Snake Thieves
A Shreveport pet store is missing a python after thieves decided to take it from it's enclosure. Security video released to Ark-La-Tex Homepage shows the 3 suspects walking in to The Pet Zone on Jewella Avenue on a busy Saturday (8/13/22) afternoon.
The suspects can be seen walking over to the baby Albino Ball Python's enclosure and removing the one-foot snake from it.
After the baby snake was taken from it's enclosure, the female in the group was ready, and opened her purse to conceal the animal.
The management told Ark-La-Tex Homepage that the store will be offering a reward for anyone with information leading to the arrest of these thieves, and hopefully recover the python.
The snake was for sale at The Pet Zone, and Albino Ball Pythons can sell for up to $500.
