In early April 2023, a victim contacted the Shreveport Police Department in reference to a man beating her and causing multiple injuries to her. The victim was able to identify the suspect as Charlton Wheeler (12-20-1993). Wheeler also reportedly produced a gun and threatened the victim.

Shreveport Police Domestic Abuse Detectives obtained evidence pertaining to the crime and a warrant was issued for the arrest of Wheeler. Wheeler is wanted for one count of Aggravated Assault with a Firearm, one count of Domestic Abuse Battery by Strangulation, three counts of Domestic Abuse Battery with Child Endangerment, three counts of Domestic Abuse Aggravated Assault Child Endangerment Law, one count of Simple Assault, and one count of 14:67 Theft.

The suspect is considered armed and dangerous. Suspects are innocent until proven guilty.
