Shreveport Man Arrested After Allegedly Menacing With a Gun

On April 12th, 2023, at 9:30 p.m., Shreveport Police officers responded to a call of a white male pointing a firearm at a victim from inside of a vehicle in the 9700 block of Baird Road.

On arrival, the responding officers learned that a male identified as Chaz Cox (3-3-1989) reportedly pointed a weapon at the victim.

Officers found that Cox had been threatening individuals while armed with a gun. Cox was arrested for one count of aggravated assault. Further charges are pending.

This is not Cox's first run-in with the law. According to his prior arrest record on the Caddo Correctional Center website Cox has 19 prior arrests dating back to 2006. His prior arrests include things like burglary, drug possession, and domestic violence to name a few.

All suspects are innocent until proven guilty.
