Two Shreveport Men Arrested for Sex Crimes Against a 17 Year Old
On November 12th, 2022, Shreveport Police Officers were contacted in reference to an incident that occurred in the 2600 block of Sevier Street. The responding officers were contacted by a concerned parent who that stated her 17-year-old son had just been sexually assaulted by two older male suspects.
The responding officers contacted the Shreveport Police Sex Crime office and a detective responded to further investigate the matter. After gathering all information and forensic evidence detectives were able to arrest Tyrone D. Pickrom (5/06/76) and Damarquis Davis (5/23/89) for 2nd Degree Rape on June 7th, 2023. If convicted the two could face up to forty years in prison at hard labor.
2nd Degree rape is described as:
Second-degree rape is rape committed when the anal, oral, or vaginal sexual intercourse is deemed to be without the lawful consent of the victim because it is committed under any one or more of the following circumstances:
(1) When the victim is prevented from resisting the act by force or threats of physical violence under circumstances where the victim reasonably believes that such resistance would not prevent the rape.
(2) When the victim is incapable of resisting or of understanding the nature of the act by reason of stupor or abnormal condition of the mind produced by a narcotic or anesthetic agent or other controlled dangerous substance administered by the offender and without the knowledge of the victim.
