
Shreveport Man Gets 30 Years for Manslaughter in Caddo Court
A man who was set for trial later this month has pleaded guilty to the slaying of a 72 year-old man has been sentenced to prison.
27 year-old Reginald Roberson pleaded guilty to Manslaughter in Caddo District Court. Roberson will go to trial for the 2023 slaying of 72 year-old Eddie Lee Rogers.
Mr. Rogers was found near David Raines Road in the MLK neighborhood with a single gunshot wound to the abdomen. A tip through Crimestoppers produced Roberson as a suspect in the shooting. There were no witnesses.
Roberson is now facing 30 years in prison. The plea and sentencing were approved by and coordinated with the victim's family.
Roberson was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Victoria Washington. He was defended by Michael Enright.
