A Shreveport man is sentenced to 25 years after entering a guilty plea to manslaughter.

20-year-old Antonious Terrelle Cawthorne entered the plea before Caddo District Judge John Mosely Jr. rather than face trial. He admitted to killing a 13-year-old boy on April 4th of 2015. Prosecutors believe Cawthorne argued with several other adults at an Easter event at Hattie Perry Park and as he drove away, he fired several shots into the crowd.

The teen was hit by one of the bullets and later died at University Health. Cawthorne initially fled but later turned himself in to police.
