A Shreveport man will spend the rest of his life in prison following his sentencing today in Caddo District Court. Lorenzo Jefferson was sentenced to life in prison at hard labor on a second-degree murder charge and 46 years in prison for attempted second-degree murder. Those sentences will be served concurrently. Jefferson was convicted May 27th following a bench trial that lasted two days. He was accused of the July 2009 shooting death of Gary Maxie, Jr., and the wounding of another individual.
