Shreveport Man Attacks Manager with Bike Chain
SHREVEPORT, LA- Trespassing Complaint Sends Man to Jail
On September 13th, just after midnight, Shreveport Police officers responded to a trespassing complaint in the 1200 block of Shreveport Barksdale Highway. The call involved two homeless males reportedly on a business's property without permission.
Upon arrival, officers made contact with 21-year-old Harley Main and his father, Michael Main, who were both present at the scene. According to the property manager, he had attempted to ask the two men to leave when Harley Main suddenly attacked him with a bike chain. Fortunately, no serious injuries were reported in the incident.
Further investigation revealed that Harley Main had outstanding warrants for possession of narcotics. He was subsequently arrested for aggravated assault and criminal trespassing and taken to the Shreveport City Jail. Michael Main was issued a summons for criminal trespassing.
Chief Smith would like to commend the swift response of the officers involved in ensuring the safety of the community and addressing the situation without further escalation.
