SHREVEPORT, LA-  Burglary Call Leads to Arrest of Convicted Felon

On June 28th, Shreveport police patrol officers were dispatched to a storage facility in the 4800 block of Monkhouse Drive in response to a burglary in progress. Responding officers were able to apprehend the suspect, 44-year-old Stanley Giles, who was caught breaking into the facility.

Upon taking Giles into custody, officers discovered he was in possession of narcotics. Further investigation revealed that he was also wanted for aggravated assault with a firearm, illegal use of a weapon, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Giles was arrested and charged with numerous offenses.

Chief Smith commends his Shreveport police officers for their outstanding work in apprehending this suspect and bringing him to justice.

Suspects are innocent until proven guilty.
