SHREVEPORT, LA- Shreveport Man Arrested in Violent Domestic Incident
On Saturday, August 3rd, at 4:35 p.m., Shreveport Police Patrol Officers responded to a welfare concern at 1906 North Market Street. Upon arrival, officers discovered a female victim suffering from numerous bite marks.
As officers attempted to detain the other party, 23-year-old Lajavious Whitehead, but he attempted to flee, leading to a brief struggle. Officers successfully apprehended Whitehead, who has been charged with Domestic Abuse Battery, False Imprisonment, Resisting Arrest, Domestic Abuse Battery with Child Endangerment, and multiple outstanding warrants.
The quick and effective response by the officers ensured the safety of the victim, who is expected to recover. This incident underscores the commitment of the Shreveport Police Department to address and de-escalate situations of domestic violence.
