SHREVEPORT, LA-   Shreveport Man Arrested for Assaulting Nurse at Nursing Home

On March 3, 2024, around noon, officers responded to a call reporting an assault and battery incident at a nursing home situated in the 3400 block of Mansfield Road. Upon arrival, Shreveport Police Patrol Officers discovered a female nurse in critical condition, bleeding from head injuries.

Shreveport Police Patrol Officers promptly apprehended the suspect, identified as 65-year-old Johnny Rivers, at the scene. Rivers was subsequently charged with one count of second-degree aggravated battery in connection with the assault.
