
Shreveport Man Arrested for Arson & Shooting Incident

SHREVEPORT,LA- Shreveport Police Department Arrest Man for Arson and Shooting Case from April
On July 11th, Shreveport Police patrol officers made a significant arrest in connection with an arson and shooting incident that occurred on April 18th in the 9300 block of Mansfield Road. During this incident, an apartment building was set on fire after being struck by multiple rounds of gunfire.
Officers, following up on the April 18 investigation, made contact with Javarion Pea, who was a suspect in an armed person call for service. Through a thorough investigation, patrol officers were able to gather evidence linking Pea to both the shooting and arson event.
As a result, Javarion Pea has been charged with one count of aggravated criminal property damage and one count of illegal use of a weapon. Fortunately, no one was seriously injured during these offenses.
Chief Smith would like to commend the outstanding work of SPD patrol officers for their dedication and diligence in bringing this case to a resolution.
