Shreveport Man Arrested: Charged with 2nd Degree Murder
Arrest Made in Overnight Homicide in Shreveport
Shreveport Police Department has announced an arrest in connection with the overnight shooting that resulted in the death of a woman in the 4700 block of 3L Westwood Park.
On April 9th, at approximately 11:15 p.m., Shreveport Police patrol officers responded to reports of a shooting in the aforementioned area. Upon arrival, officers encountered a male individual who confessed to shooting his mother. The victim was promptly transported to a local area hospital, where despite the best efforts of medical personnel, she succumbed to her injuries.
The suspect, identified as 36-year-old Lederrick Gant, has been taken into custody and charged with one count of second-degree murder.
We are required to remind that all suspects are innocent until found guilty.
