
Shreveport Police Arrest Man for Kidnapping and Shooting
Early yesterday morning, Shreveport Police Officers got a call about an armed person on Shreveport Barksdale Highway.
When SPD got to the scene, they found a woman who said that she had been kidnapped from her home on Gayle Street. The woman also went on to say that shots had been fired at that location before she was able to escape.
Shreveport Police Detectives started an investigation, and were able to identify and arrest Jeremy Brown in connection with the shooting and kidnapping.
Brown has been charged with the following:
· One count of Home Invasion
· One count of Aggravated Kidnapping
· One count of Aggravated Assault with a Firearm
· One count of Simple Battery of a Dating Partner

"This case highlights the ongoing issue of domestic violence in our community. While we are grateful that the victim was not seriously harmed, the situation could have ended in tragedy. The Shreveport Police Department remains committed to holding offenders accountable and ensuring the safety of those affected by domestic violence.
