Yesterday, Shreveport Police and the U.S. Marshals Task Force attempted to serve a felony warrant for a man wanted for attempted murder.

The warrant was for Alvin A. Robinson, wanted for Attempted Second-Degree murder. Police and Marshals executed the warrant at a home in the 5000 block of Roberts Street.

Robinson wasn’t at the home, but Officers gathered enough information to determine that he was driving a blue SUV. Moments later, the SUV passed by the home while Police were still there. Officers attempted to stop Robinson, but he took off, leading officers on a brief chase before crashing into a telephone pole and abandoning the SUV.

Robinson jumped several fences trying to get away from police, but he didn’t outrun Karo. K9 Officer Karo was deployed and successfully apprehended Robinson on the next block.

Robinson was taken into custody and charged with:

• Attempted Second-Degree Homicide

• Aggravated Flight From an Officer

• Aggravated Obstruction of a Highway

From SPD:

"Additional charges are pending.

Outstanding teamwork by SPD, the U.S. Marshals Task Force, and K9 Karo for getting a dangerous individual off our streets."
