Shreveport Police’s ‘Jump Out Boys’ Take More Guns Off the Street
The "Jump Out Boys" strike again making 2 arrests involving guns!
The Shreveport Police Department's Violent Crimes Abatement Team affectionately known by locals as the "Jump Out Boys" were investigating a video that surfaced of 23 year-old Devontrez Pierre shooting a gun in the city limits. SPD thought the gun may be tied to a gun that was stolen back in January. The Police were able to catch up with Pierre and arrest him. SPD found the gun, and it was in-fact the stolen weapon. Pierre was charged with one count of illegal use of a weapon and one count of possession of a stolen firearm.
The Jump Out Boys also had a successful bust when they executed a search warrant on the home of Stanford McGee, suspected of selling drugs. Police came in to his house to search, and indeed McGee had guns and drugs in the house. He was arrested and charged with three counts of narcotics distribution, possession of a firearm with a controlled dangerous substance, and being a felon in possession of a firearm.
From SPD:
The Shreveport Police Department remains committed to protecting our community and will continue doing everything we can to get illegal guns off our streets and out of the hands of those who should not have them.
