Shreveport Man Arrested for January Sexual Assault of a Juvenile

The Shreveport Police Department have made an arrest in a sexual assault of a juvenile case that happened early this year on Lakeshore Drive.

A thorough investigation by SPD Detectives showed Christopher Stark as a suspect in the sexual assault of a 15 year-old teenager. SPD was able to get DNA evidence that matched Stark leading to a warrant being issued for his arrest.

Stark has been charged with one count of third-degree rape.

Third-degree rape according to Louisiana law, occurs when a sexual act is committed without lawful consent of the victim under certain qualifying conditions, including mental incapacity, intoxication, deception, or direct lack of consent. If convicted, Stark could face up to 25 years in prison.
