Shreveport Man Arrested for Threatening Hotel Employees With a Gun
Shreveport Police arrested a man following a disturbance at a local hotel on Financial Plaza on Sunday.
Officers responded to reports of an armed person after the suspect, Marc Owens, allegedly approached a hotel employee while armed with a handgun. The employee retreated to a back office and monitored Owens through security cameras while relaying critical information to SPD Officers.

According to investigators, Owens was seen pounding the firearm on the front desk before SPD got to the scene.
Officers safely took Owens into custody, but Owens refused to identify himself and was ultimately arrested for one count of Aggravated Assault and one count of Resisting an Officer.
Owens was taken to Shreveport City Jail where he was processed, and set to send to Caddo Correctional Center.
