Shreveport Police Arrest Woman for Hitting Officer With Her Car
Last Friday morning, Shreveport Police were called to a business on Bert Kouns Industrial Loop to reports of a disorderly person.
When SPD arrived to the scene, they found a woman identified as Nita Capps outside of the business, repeatedly blowing her car's horn, and refusing to leave. While Officers were trying to get her off the property, Capps put her car in reverse, and hit an Officer with her car. Capps was swiftly arrested, treated medically, then taken to Shreveport City Jail.
Capps kept making threats while in jail, and then Police found several different drugs on her.
Capps is now facing the following charges:
· Battery of a police officer
· Two counts of Possession of narcotics
From SPD:
"We thank our officers for their professionalism and restraint during this volatile situation."
