Shreveport Woman Arrested for Trying to Hit Kids With Her Car

A Shreveport Police Officer assigned to Pine Grove Elementary is getting a pat on the back for his response to a pretty scary situation near the school.

Back in April, SPD were called by a concerned parent that said someone tried to run-over their children with a car on Caldwell Street while walking home from school. According to the caller, an adult woman pulled up to her children and let juveniles get out of her car with the intent of fighting the children walking home.

After the children tried to run away, the adult woman tried to run them over with her car. The Officer assigned to the school immediately went to check the camera footage, and identified the driver as Lejonkica Sharp.

SPD started an investigation, and when they confronted Sharp with questions, she told Police that the children threw rocks at her car and denied that she tried to hurt the kids.

However, the footage clearly shows Sharp trying to run-over six children after one of Sharp's children had a fight with one of the six.

Sharp has been arrested and charged with six counts of aggravated assault.
