
Shreveport High-Speed Chase Leads to Felony Arrest with Mulitple Charges

SHREVEPORT, LA- Vehicle Pursuit Ends in Felony Arrest
In the early hours of May 26th, Shreveport police officers attempted a traffic stop at Interstate 49 and Kings Highway. The incident, which occurred at approximately 3:15 a.m., escalated into a vehicle pursuit.
Moments after the pursuit began, the vehicle lost control and crashed on West 70th Street. Officers quickly apprehended 36-year-old Tremaine Taylor at the scene. Upon arrest, Taylor was found to be in possession of a firearm.
Taylor faces multiple charges including aggravated flight from a police officer, operating a vehicle while intoxicated, illegal carrying of a weapon, and an outstanding warrant for battery of a dating partner. Fortunately, no serious injuries were reported as a result of this incident.
Chief Wayne Smith commends the commitment of his officers and for their actions to preserve public safety.
