Shreveport High School Student Arrested for Gun Threat
High School Student in deep trouble!
At Booker T. Washington High School on Monday, a School Resource Officer was told a pretty disturbing story. A student came to Deputy Daniels with CPSO and told him that him and another student got in to a heavy argument and during the fight the student pointed a gun at him.
Deputy Daniels immediately started searching for the student through the school and found 19 year-old Demartezz Robinson. When the Deputy had Robinson he searched him and found the weapon. It turned out to be a BB gun that was modeled to look like a real pistol. Robinson was arrested on the spot and taken off campus.
The Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office had this to say about the arrest:
"Robinson was arrested and transported to the Caddo Correctional Center, where he was booked for carrying a firearm/weapon on school property and aggravated assault with a firearm."
Whether the gun was real or not, bringing anything resembling a dangerous weapon on school campus is a huge mistake. It can incite panic and cause people to be hurt or worse.
