Shreveport Man Arrested on Gun Charges After Police Raid
The Shreveport Police Department's Violent Crime Abatement Team, along with the City Marshal's Office has been hard at work trying to get guns out of the wrong hands.
Earlier this week, SPD Officers executed a search warrant on a home on East Topeka Street. There had been complaints from the community talking about suspicious activity going on at that house. When Police got in to the house, they found Ladarius Butler hiding in the master bedroom.
SPD searched the house and found 5 guns throughout the house. Butler is a convicted felon due to a domestic violence conviction, and is not allowed to have guns of any kind.
Butler was arrested on gun charges, and taken to jail.
From SPD:
The Shreveport Police Department remains committed to protecting the community by targeting individuals who pose a threat to public safety.
