
Shreveport Woman Arrested for Firing a Gun During a Fight
Shreveport Police Department has arrested a woman following a shots-fired incident that occurred late last week.
Officers were dispatched to Peach Street in reference to reports of gunfire. The caller told SPD that a woman, identified as Shamary McCullough, had fired a gun during a fight.
When SPD got to the scene, Officers located a shell casing at the scene and determined that a physical altercation had occurred between two women. Investigators learned that McCullough allegedly hit the victim several times in the face before pulling a firearm.
Witnesses stated that McCullough pulled a silver and black handgun and fired one round into the air. Witnesses further reported that she then pointed the firearm at the victim, though no additional shots were fired.
McCullough was taken into custody and charged with:
· Aggravated Assault with a Firearm
· Illegal Use of a Weapon
During the investigation, officers also discovered McCullough had 10 outstanding traffic-related warrants.
