
Shreveport Police Bust Two Men on Gun and Drug Charges
Shreveport's Jump Out Boys got some action on Valentine's Day!
Following an investigation in to drug activity on the 200 block of Merrick Street the Shreveport Police Street-Level Interdiction Unit knocked on David Smith's door at 6am. After sweeping the house the Jump Out Boys arrested Smith on drug and gun related charges. Smith's charges included:
· Three counts of manufacturing and distribution of narcotics
· One count of illegal carrying of a weapon in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance
Then on Tuesday (2/18/25) SPD struck again following a suspicious person call on Greenwood road at 1am. Police showed up to the location of the call and found Marlon Gant matching the description. Police searched Gant and found a handgun on him. Marlon is underage and is not suppose to have a handgun. Gant was arrested and charged with:
· One count of juvenile possession of a handgun
· One count of possession of marijuana
SPD Had this to say:
