On Thursday, November 14, 2024, at approximately 12:45 p.m., the Shreveport Police Department’s Violent Crime Apprehension Team (VCAT) received information about a firearms complaint in the 9200 block of Biddle Street.

VCAT and K-9 units responded to the location and engaged with multiple individuals. During the interaction, a suspect, identified as Gunner Hendrix (DOB 06/08/1995), fled on foot after discarding a firearm. VCAT officers quickly apprehended Hendrix and recovered the discarded handgun.

Further investigation led to the discovery of multiple vials of THC inside Hendrix’s vehicle. Based on this evidence, VCAT officers secured a search warrant for Hendrix’s residence located at 706 Woodvale Street in Shreveport. The search resulted in the seizure of a substantial cache of weapons, ammunition, and narcotics, including:

· 13 shotguns

· 20 rifles

· 14 pistols

· 7 rifle lowers

· 10 pounds of ammunition

· Body armor

· 11 pounds of THC vials

Gunner Hendrix was arrested and transported to the Shreveport Police Department Jail for processing. All evidence was submitted to the SPD Property Room for safekeeping. The SPD Narcotics Unit and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) are continuing the investigation to identify additional suspects and potential criminal activities associated with this case.
