Shreveport Man Found Guilty of Serious Sex Crimes

A Shreveport man charged with rape and a host of serious sex crimes was found guilty in Caddo District Court.

In October of 2024, Caddo deputies responded to a report of a sexual assault in the Southern Hills neighborhood. The complainant found child pornography involving her daughter on a male relative's phone.

The victim was taken for an interview at the Gingerbread house and provided a statement. Dustin Gene Pedicini was questioned by Caddo Detectives and admitted he was the man in the pictures and videos, but said he didn't remember anything about them. His phone was seized and when Detectives went through it, it was found that it contained numerous images and videos of child abuse material of sexual content.

When Pedicini appears in court, later this month, he faces life in prison at hard labor without probation, parole or suspension of sentence for the rape conviction. The other convictions carry sentences of not less than two years at hard labor nor more than 25 years with at least two years without benefit of parole, probation, or suspension of sentence; not less than 10 years nor more than 40 years at hard labor without the benefit of parole, probation or suspension of sentence; and at least 25 years at hard labor up to 99 years, without benefit of parole, probation or suspension of sentence.

"An eight-woman, four-man jury in District Judge John D. Mosely Jr.'s court returned its unanimous guilty-as-charged verdicts against 38 year-old Dustin Gene Pedicini. He was charged with first-degree rape, indecent behavior with a juvenile, pornography involving a juvenile and molestation of a juvenile."
