Shreveport Police Arrest Four This Week for Domestic Violence

Shreveport Police have been working hard to bring those responsible for domestic violence of any kind to justice.

Earlier this week, Officers arrested Elijah Butler, who was charged with Domestic Abuse Aggravated Assault and False Imprisonment. If someone tries to leave during a domestic dispute and you prevent them from doing so, you can be charged.

That same day, Officers arrested Mark Jackson for Domestic Abuse Battery by Strangulation and Domestic Abuse Battery – Second Offense. Jackson has a prior domestic violence conviction involving a pregnant victim.

Yesterday, SPD Officers arrested Jerome Williams following a domestic incident. He now faces charges of Battery of a Dating Partner with Child Endangerment, Theft, and Property Damage.

Also yesterday, the Shreveport Police Department Warrant Unit took Jasmine Jackson into custody on an outstanding warrant for Simple Battery of a Dating Partner.

When these violent incidents happen in front of children, they create emotional scars and can contribute to trauma. No child should have to witness violence in their home.
