Shreveport Firefighters Battle Multiple Car Fires in Salvage Yard

On January 24, 2024, at 12:27 a.m., the Shreveport Fire Department responded to the report of a possible car fire in the 5200 block of Greenwood Rd.

The first unit arrived on the scene within eight (8) minutes of the dispatch and was initially unable to gain access to the facility. Upon gaining access to the lot, multiple vehicles were found to be fully involved by fire.

Additional units were then requested to assist with extinguishing the flames. Approximately ten (10) fire personnel operating four (4) units worked together to bring the fire under control and close out the incident at 3:47 a.m. on 1/24/2024. There were no injuries to civilians or firefighters.
