
Shreveport Police Arrest Man on Firearm and Flight Charges
Shreveport Police have arrested Tonique Sellers on multiple charges.
At approximately 11:30 AM, members of the Shreveport Police Violent Crimes Abatement Team were conducting an operation in the 2900 block of Peach Street when they saw a suspicious person. The person immediately ran away but was arrested shortly thereafter. Sellers was found to be in possession of a gun.
Tonique Sellers is a convicted felon and prohibited from possessing a firearm. Sellers was arrested for negligent carrying of a firearm and has a criminal history involving multiple firearms-related offenses. Sellers was previously found guilty of illegal possession of a firearm with a controlled dangerous substance in 2023.
