Shreveport Police Arrest Felon With a Firearm and Drugs
Earlier this week, Shreveport Police were called out to Illinois Avenue to reports of an armed person.

When Police got to the scene, they found 44 year-old Clarence Dock in possession of a gun that it turns out he had stolen only hours earlier. While Police were dealing with Dock, he dropped a bag of what appeared to be a white powdery substance that SPD believed to be cocaine. When Dock was questioned about the bag he told Police the substance was "just medicine".
Further investigation showed that Dock is a convicted felon and is not suppose to own or be in possession of a gun. It also showed that he is a registered sex offender due to a prior conviction of felony carnal knowledge of a juvenile. Dock also has priors for domestic abuse battery by strangulation and burglary.

Dock is facing the following charges:
· Theft of a firearm
· Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon
· Possession of Schedule II narcotics
From SPD:
"The Shreveport Police Department remains committed to removing illegally possessed firearms from the streets and holding repeat offenders accountable."
